Fayerweather Street School

This past Spring, I had the great fortune to collaborate long-time faculty member, Connie Biewald, on a pilot program for student podcasts, sound recording, and sound editing for students in 5th & 6th Grade. Such a wonderful experience; see below for a quick summary of the work/outcome:

All groups were self-directed, process-oriented, collaborative, and curiosity-led; each final product contained voice recording, foley art/sound effects, simple sound editing techniques and all but one group used Audacity as their primary sound editing software. The content of podcast material included Collaborative Fiction, Autobiographical Storytelling, Persuasive Reporting, a Retelling of a Folk Tale/Scary Story, and an Original Composition.
