Publications + Lectures

The Listening to the City publication is a product of the May 2017 conference that was organized and hosted by MIT Co-Lab. Excited to have presented and led a workshop for that event as well as being archived in this publication for a growing network of civic planners, artists, and teachers who wish to affect positive community change through sound and story. From 2008 - 20014, I contributed to Behavioral and Neural Correlates of Executive Functioning in Musicians and Non-Musicians while working with the Nadine Gaab’s Lab at Children’s Hospital. Through this work, I performed cognitive tests on the majority of adult participants and coauthored the final paper. Click here for the complete open access publication.

Collaborator Natalia Zubko and I presented an in-depth look at our work, wondersense @ KAM (2018), particularly how the work directly related to our joint residency in the Arctic Circle of the previous year as well as our approach to collaboration, process, and art-making. The final talk, wonder*sense: Shared Experiences + Building a Creative Dialogue & Collaboration was presented in 2018 inside our installation at the Kingsborough Art Museum in Brooklyn, NY.
